Mr. Kalolo is our Head of the Department of Litigation and Arbitration. He holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Dar es Salaam. He worked with the Attorney General's Chambers from April 1987 to December 1987, and later on with the Tanzania Legal Corporation (1988-1995), as Advocate and Legal Counsel where he gained practical experience in advocacy and expertise in a wide range of disciplines. Mr. Kalolo has attended various professional courses conducted by the Tanzania Legal Corporation in collaboration with other Law Institutions and is entitled to practice as an Arbitrator under the National Construction Council, having successfully completed courses on conduct and practice of Arbitration organized by the Tanzania Institute of Arbitrators. He is a specialist in litigation and arbitration of commercial disputes, labor and tax matters, conveyancing, and media law. He has also acted as legal advisor to a number of state-owned corporations and receiver of some of them.
He has given legal opinions on several issues to Parastatal Organizations, the Parastatal Sector Reform Commission (PSRC), Consolidated Holdings Corporation, and the Loans and Advances Recovery Trust (LART) with respect to the ongoing privatization program. He is a member of, the Tanganyika Law Society as well as the East Africa Law Society. Mr. Kalolo-Bundala has acted as Chairman of the National Ethics Committee of the Tanganyika Law Society. He is a member of the National Criminal Justice Forum under the National Prosecutions Service Act 1 of 2008, and a member of the Chief Justice Task Force Committee for Alternative Dispute Resolutions.
He has served as a member of the Tax Revenue Appeals Tribunal established under the Tax Revenue Appeals Act, Chapter 408 of the Laws for six years up to 13th September 2016. He is a Member of the Nomination Committee of the Tanganyika Law Society, under the Tanganyika Law Society Election Regulations GN 332 of 2016, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Montessori College in Tanzania, a Catholic Church-affiliated Institution.
