He is currently the Managing Partner of the firm. He holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of East Africa (1969). He was the first graduate from the University of East Africa to establish a private practice office in Tanzania. Apart from this private practise he has been a part-time Law Reform Commissioner since 1983 to-date, as the presidential appointment kept on being renewed since then.

He worked as a State Attorney at Attorney Generals' Chambers (1969-73). He also served as Chairman of Tanzania Legal Corporation (1973-96), and as a Director, Air Tanzania Corporation (National Airline - 1993-99), and as President of the Tanganyika Law Society (the National Bar Association of Tanzania - 1996-98) and President, Rotary Club of Dar es salaam. In the year 2000, he was appointed a member of the LART Loan Recovery Tribunal

In a proffessional career that span more than three decades, Mr. Ismail has appeared many times in the High Court and Court of Appeal of Tanzania on various cases. He also appeared in the Appeals Chamber of International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (First Counsel from East Africa to do so). He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, London. He is also a member of Tanganyika Law Society, The East African Law Society as well as the International Bar Association. His areas of practice include Corporate, Commercial,Real Estate,Intellectual Property, Shipping and Maritime, Aviation Laws, Mining and Litigation.


A Senior Partner in the firm, Mr. Kalolo is our Head of the Department of Litigation and Arbitration. He holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Dar es Salaam. He worked with the Attorney General's Chambers from April 1987 to December 1987, and later on with the Tanzania Legal Corporation (1988-1995), as Advocate and Legal Counsel where he gained practical experience in advocacy and expertise on a wide range of disciplines. Mr. Kalolo has attended various professional courses conducted by the Tanzania Legal Corporation in collaboration with other Law Institutions and is entitled to practice as an Arbitrator under the National Construction Council, having successfully completed courses on conducts and practice of Arbitration organized by the Tanzania Institute of Arbitrators. He is a specialist in litigation and arbitration of commercial disputes, labour and tax matters, conveyancing and media law. He has also acted as legal advisor to a number of state-owned corporations and receiver of some of them.

He has given legal opinions on several issues to Parastatal Organizations, the Parastatal Sector Reform Commission (PSRC), Consolidated Holdings Corporation, the Loans and Advances Recovery Trust (LART) with respect to the ongoing privatization programme. He is a member, Tanganyika Law Society as well as the East Africa Law Society. Mr. Kalolo-Bundala has acted as Chairman of the National Ethics Committee of the Tanganyika Law Society. He is a member of the National Criminal Justice Forum under the National Prosecutions Service Act 1 of 2008, and a member of the Chief Justice Task Force Committee for Alternative Dispute Resolutions.

He has served as member of the Tax Revenue Appeals Tribunal established under the Tax Revenue Appeals Act, Chapter 408 of the Laws for six years up to 13th September 2016. He is a Member of the Nomination Committee of the Tanganyika Law Society, under the Tanganyika Law Society Election Regulations GN 332 of 2016, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Montessori College in Tanzania, a Catholic Church affiliated Institution.


Mr. Kamazima started his career in the firm as a legal researcher in both civil and criminal cases. He joined the firm in 2007 after graduating from the University of Dar es Salaam with Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons.) in that same year. He also holds Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Dar es Salaam. During his tenure with the firm Mr. Kamazima has been successfully involved in preparation and drafting of pleadings, attending Courts and tribunals for representing clients, filing of papers and documents in Courts and tribunals and various registries such as those in the offices of the Registrars of Titles, Documents, Companies, Societies and Trustees.

He is also involved in drafting company, securities and conveyancing documents. Currently he is actively involved in representing clients in Labour Matters in the Commission for Mediation and Arbitration and the High Court (Labour Division), Commercial Matters regarding recoveries in the High Court of Tanzania, Commercial Division and District Registries. Mr. Kamazima also represents clients in Tax Matters in the Tax Revenue Appeals Board and Tribunal.

Mr. Kamazima was admitted to the Bar and enrolled as an advocate in December 2010.


Ms. Raya is an advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and subordinate Courts since 10th August 2011. She holds LL.B (Hons.) from Mzumbe University (2008) and MBA from the same University (2012). She joined the firm in April 2011 as a legal researcher and has been involved in legal research and preparation of various legal instruments/documents.

She also represents clients in the High Court and subordinate Courts and Tribunals and prepares documents for filing in various registries, she has acknowledge in Labour Disputes, conveyancing commercial and family matters, drafting legal documents, opinions, and litigation.


Mr. Aly Ismail is an advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and subordinate Courts since July 2015. He holds LL.B (Hons.)(UK) since 2002. He joined the firm in February 2015 as a legal researcher and has been involved in legal research and preparation of various legal instruments/documents. He also represents clients in the High Court and subordinate Courts. His knowledge extends to Banking, maritime, intellectual property, commercial litigation and conveyancing.


Our firm also has more than 8 support staff who have a wide range of practical experience in different Registries in filing of documents and registration of Companies, registration of different documents/deeds such as transfer and mortgage deeds in the Registries of the Ministry of Lands, and other registries of different Districts in the City of Dar es Salaam and other regions, BRELA and all Courts’ and Tribunals’ Registries, as well as RITA. We have also Senior Office Management Assistant who is a graduate in BA Education and Planning.
